Document exchange, with a record.
Send files.
Keep proof.
The next step for important documents: a clear account of what was shared, and evidence you can keep.
Proofheld Beta · Live transfers are not yet enabled.
Every detail.
One clear record.

Less uncertainty. More clarity.
“Which file?”
Should be easy
to answer.
A sent email tells only part of the story. A useful record identifies the exact files and keeps each step distinct.
Proofheld brings the proposed exchange and its supporting evidence into one readable workflow. Original files stay original. Receipts travel alongside them.
Follow a document through the workflow ↗Every detail.
One clear record.
Clarity, down to the last byte.
A record that
stands on details.
Document IDs. Page counts. Exact fingerprints. Events with explicit time zones. A portable report that makes the details easy to find.
The sample workspace includes real fingerprints for fictional PDFs. Delivery, signatures and independent timestamps remain unimplemented.

Different work.
The same need for clarity.
Legal discovery
Identify the documents in an exchange and distinguish a download from an express acknowledgment. A tool for the record, without implying court approval.
Financial review
Match an accountant’s copy to the original statement and maintain a consistent inventory of the material supplied.
Business handoffs
Keep a clear account of the versions shared between teams, clients and external specialists.
Our design principle
Private documents.
Checkable proof.
Keep document contents out of the public proof record.
The proposed system separates private file exchange from evidence of the exchange. Only a privacy-protected commitment would be published for independent timestamping.

Proof, explained.
Does a fingerprint prove somebody received a file?
No. A matching SHA-256 fingerprint identifies the same bytes. Identity, transport events and an explicit acknowledgment need their own evidence.
Does a timestamp mean the record is immutable?
No. An independent timestamp can support that committed data existed before a point in time. It does not prevent deletion, prove completeness or authenticate every recorded event.
Can I exchange real documents yet?
Not yet. Account access and live transfers are not enabled. You can explore fictional files, verify their fingerprints and download the sample report.
